Wagah Border Flag Lowering Ceremony Lahore.

This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road, was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations’ flags.

It is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One Jawan (infantryman) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gates at the border are opened and the two flags are lowered simultaneously. The flags are folded, and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side, followed by the closing of the gates again.

The spectacle of the ceremony attracts many visitors from both sides of the border, as well as international tourists

Minar-E-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan, literally “Tower of Pakistan” is a public monument located in Iqbal Park, which is one of the largest urban parks in Lahore, Pakistan. The tower was constructed during the 1960s on the site where, on 23 March 1940, the All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution, the first official call for a separate homeland for the Muslims living in South Asia, in accordance with the two-nation theory.

The foundation stone was laid on 23 March 1960. The construction took eight years and was completed in 1968. The Minar was completed on 31 October 1968. Today, the minaret provides a panoramic view to visitors who can climb up the stairs or through an elevator. The parks around the monument include marble fountains and an artificial lake.

What Our Lahore Tour Packages Include

Every package covers the vehicle, a professional driver for twelve hours, and route planning built around opening times and traffic rather than a fixed script. Fuel, toll tax, parking and entry tickets sit outside the rate and are settled as you go, which keeps the quoted price honest across very different itineraries.

What our Lahore tour packages deliberately do not include is a rushed group schedule. These are private tours in your own vehicle, so if you want an extra forty minutes at the Fort or an unplanned stop for food, the day bends around you.

City Sightseeing Lahore Tour Packages

The classic circuit takes in the Walled City, and it is the itinerary most first time visitors choose. Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort sit opposite one another and are best visited in the same run, ideally in the morning before the light gets harsh and the crowds build.

From there, most of our city Lahore tour packages continue to Shalimar Gardens, Minar-e-Pakistan and the Wazir Khan Mosque, finishing with the flag lowering ceremony at Wagah Border in the late afternoon. That last one is time critical, since the ceremony starts at a fixed hour and the approach road closes to vehicles well before it.

Half Day and Full Day Options

A half day covers roughly five hours and suits visitors with a single afternoon free, typically Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort and a walk through the Walled City. A full day runs twelve hours and comfortably absorbs the Wagah ceremony as well.

If you only have one day in the city, take the full day. Compressed Lahore tour packages tend to mean an hour spent in traffic between two sites you barely saw, and Wagah in particular is not worth attempting on a tight schedule.

Northern Area Tour Packages From Lahore

Beyond the city, the northern valleys are the reason a great many families book with us at all. Murree is the shortest run and works as a long day trip or an overnight. Naran and Kaghan and Swat need three days minimum, and realistically four to be enjoyable.

Northern Lahore tour packages travel on the M2 motorway maintained by the National Highway Authority, which keeps the first leg fast and predictable. Ground clearance matters once you leave the motorway, so these tours are quoted on seven seaters rather than sedans.

Driver accommodation on multi day Lahore tour packages is arranged by us and billed at cost with no markup added. The complete route list is on our intercity travel page.

Heritage and Cultural Tours

For visitors with more than a day, the region rewards slower travel. Sheikhupura Fort, Hiran Minar and the Katas Raj temple complex all sit within reach of a comfortable day trip, and none of them carry the crowds of the city centre sites.

Heritage focused Lahore tour packages work best with an early start, because most of these sites are two to three hours out and the light is better in the morning. We plan the route the night before so the driver is not improvising at dawn.

Pilgrimage Tours

We run a steady volume of pilgrimage work, particularly for Sikh groups visiting Nankana Sahib and the Kartarpur Corridor. These groups usually travel in vans or coasters rather than cars, and the logistics are different enough that we treat them as a separate service.

Details of vehicles and group capacities are on the pilgrim travel page and the vans and coaster page. Group Lahore tour packages are quoted per vehicle rather than per head.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Tour

For two or three people staying inside the city, an economy car or sedan is plenty and keeps the day cheap. The Toyota Corolla, Yaris and Honda City all handle Walled City traffic well and park where larger vehicles cannot.

Families and any itinerary leaving the city should take a seven seater. The Toyota Fortuner and Land Cruiser Prado carry luggage properly and climb comfortably, which matters on the Murree and Naran roads. Most of our multi day Lahore tour packages run on exactly these two vehicles. Current models are on the fleet page.

What Lahore Tour Packages Cost

City tours start at PKR 7,000 for a full day in an economy car and PKR 10,000 in a sedan. A seven seater for a city day runs around PKR 20,000. Multi day northern trips are quoted against the actual route and duration rather than a fixed sticker price, because a three day Murree run and a five day Swat circuit are very different propositions.

All Lahore tour packages exclude fuel, toll and entry tickets. The driver allowance is PKR 500 per day on economy and sedan classes and PKR 1,000 on SUVs. Full rates sit on our price list.

Best Time to Travel

City sightseeing is most comfortable between October and March, when the heat is manageable and the light is good for photographs. July and August bring humidity that makes a full day outdoors genuinely hard work, though the sites themselves are quieter.

Northern Lahore tour packages invert that. The valleys are at their best from May to September, and roads to Naran and Kaghan are often closed by snow outside that window. If you are planning a summer northern trip, book several weeks ahead, because the seven seaters go first.

How to Book Lahore Tour Packages

Send us the dates, the number of travellers and a rough idea of what you want to see. We will suggest a realistic itinerary, tell you honestly what does not fit in the time available, and quote a fixed written rate. Booking is held against your CNIC or passport details.

Most people finalise Lahore tour packages within a single WhatsApp conversation. Start on the contact page, or read more about our company and the wider services we run.

Common Questions

Are entry tickets included?

No. Entry fees at Lahore Fort, Shalimar Gardens and other ticketed sites are paid at the gate. We tell you the current prices in advance so there are no surprises.

Can the driver act as a guide?

Our drivers know the city and the history well and will happily talk about it, but they are drivers rather than licensed guides. If you want a formal guided commentary, say so at booking and we will arrange one alongside the vehicle.

Can I customise the itinerary?

Yes, and most customers do. All our Lahore tour packages are private rather than shared, so the schedule is yours to change on the day.

Do you cover Islamabad and Taxila?

Yes. Islamabad works as a long day trip or an overnight, and Taxila pairs naturally with it for anyone interested in Gandhara heritage.

A Sample City Day

A typical full day among our Lahore tour packages starts at eight in the morning with pick up from your hotel or address. Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque come first while the light is good and the crowds are thin, which takes roughly three hours including the walk between them and time inside the Sheesh Mahal.

Lunch in the Walled City follows, then Wazir Khan Mosque and a slow walk through the bazaars. The afternoon runs out to Shalimar Gardens before heading to Wagah for the flag lowering ceremony, arriving at least an hour early to clear security. Most city Lahore tour packages follow roughly this shape, adjusted to your interests.

A Sample Three Day Northern Trip

Day one of our northern Lahore tour packages covers Murree on the motorway, roughly five hours with stops, arriving in time to walk the Mall Road in the evening. Day two runs Murree to Nathia Gali and the Ayubia forest road, which is the most scenic driving of the trip and worth taking slowly.

Day three returns via Abbottabad and the motorway, with an optional stop at Taxila for anyone interested in Gandhara heritage. Three day Lahore tour packages of this kind are our most requested northern itinerary because they fit a long weekend without feeling rushed.

For a longer trip, Naran and Kaghan need a minimum of four days and Swat five. Anything shorter turns into a driving marathon with very little time actually spent at the destination, and we will say so rather than take the booking.

Travelling With Children or Elderly Passengers

Tell us when booking Lahore tour packages if the group includes small children or older travellers, because it changes the vehicle and the pacing. A seven seater gives everyone room to stretch on long legs, and we build in more frequent stops rather than driving in long blocks.

Northern roads involve sustained climbing and a lot of bends, which is hard on anyone prone to motion sickness. For those groups we recommend the Fortuner or Prado over a crossover, and we plan Lahore tour packages with an earlier finish each day so nobody is travelling after dark on mountain roads.

What to Bring

For city Lahore tour packages, comfortable shoes and cash for entry tickets are genuinely all you need. Mosques require modest dress and shoes removed at the entrance, and headscarves are expected for women at Badshahi Mosque, though they are available at the gate.

Northern Lahore tour packages need warm layers regardless of the month, since valley temperatures drop sharply after sunset even in July. Bring any prescription medication with you rather than expecting to find it in the smaller hill towns.

Why Book Lahore Tour Packages With Us

We are a car rental business that runs tours, not a tour operator that subcontracts vehicles. That distinction matters on the day, because the car is ours, the driver is our employee, and if something goes wrong there is nobody to blame in between. A replacement vehicle reaches you rather than a phone number for somebody else.

It also means our Lahore tour packages are priced from the vehicle up rather than padded with commissions. You are paying for a car, a driver and their time, and you can see exactly what each of those costs on our price list. Browse the full fleet to pick your vehicle, then message us with your dates.

Airport Arrivals and Departures Around a Tour

A good number of visitors land in the morning and want to start sightseeing the same day. That works, but plan it as a half day rather than a full one, because immigration, baggage and the drive into the city will absorb the first few hours whatever the schedule says.

Give us the flight number when you book and we track the arrival, so a delay does not cost you the vehicle. Departures work the same way in reverse, and we build the airport run into the final day of multi day Lahore tour packages at no extra charge beyond the normal daily rate.

Booking Ahead for Peak Season

Two periods fill up completely. The first is the summer window from June to August when families head for the northern valleys. The second is the winter wedding season, when our larger vehicles are committed to events rather than touring.

If your dates fall in either window, book several weeks out. Lahore tour packages reserved early cost exactly the same as those booked at the last minute, but only the early ones come with a guaranteed seven seater.
